As I’ve immersed myself into the stock market more and more over the past few months learning all the basics about the market’s trends. So it was only logical for me to put 2 and 2 together and start experimenting with how to use my skills in computer science and math to gain advanced insights into the stock market, and potentially build my first trading model. Enthusiastically I started trying to build a model based off of traveling/vacationing data and changes in the market. Unfortunately I ran into a pretty big problem in the first hour, being that I had nowhere to test my model in any capacity. That brings me to the project of this blog post – a trading simulator which allows you to upload your own python script and test it out on past market data. This tool has helped me in my development and I hope it helps you all too. All the code and libraries are linked below.
